Sailboat parts trainer
ASA 101 expects you to recognize the sloop's hull, deck hardware, standing rigging, running rigging, sail corners, and control lines. Use this page to connect each part to what it does.
Saved boat-parts mastery
Saved locally in asa101.boatParts.v1. Export it from Progress backup with the rest of your trainer data.
Part reference
Filter the reference while you study. The diagram drill uses the same labels so your visual memory and vocabulary match.

What to practice on the boat
Point and name
Walk bow to stern and point at every part before class: bow, stern, cockpit, tiller, rudder, keel, mast, boom, winches, cleats, sheets, and halyards.
Name the job
For each control, say what changes when it moves: mainsheet changes sail angle, halyard raises, outhaul tensions the foot, vang controls boom height and leech tension.
Use in context
Connect parts to commands: ready about, release and trim jib sheets, ease the main, secure a dock line to a cleat, and keep hands clear of loaded lines and winches.
